As winter fades away and spring blows in dressing can become especially hard! Stepping out in a full coat and boots when the high is 54 can be so frustrating! Don’t fret! You definitely aren’t the only one feeling this change of season frustration (at least that’s what I tell myself 😉 ) The best approach to this in my opinion is layers of course! Layers can be daunting but by mixing in neutrals your outfit will look effortlessly pulled together.
This suede moto jacket from BlankNYC is the perfect shade of brown that can go literally into any season and its versatile color will instantly bring life to items already in your closet! This spring I’ll wear it over light sweaters, this summer over cami’s, and then it will go perfectly with all my long sleeve’s in the winter. It is expensive but I’m currently focusing on transitioning my closet fewer pieces that will last longer and can be worn throughout the year. (note it is a bit of a cropped look but I think it’s very flattering and works well for tall and short frames) I got a small, but could have gone for a medium if I wanted it to fit over heavier sweaters.
Fun textured white tops are also great transitional pieces. These are easy base layers because they go with anything! Instead of the transitional white cotton tee, play up different materials and patterns, sometimes even the slightest of details can really change an outfit! Mine is sold out but I love this one just as much!
These heels I snagged last year for engagement pics and couldn’t be happier with them! They are super comfortable for heels and go with practically all of my outfits, not to mention they look strikingly similar to Valentino heels. They are currently sold out but I found these, which are an even better Valentino dupe!
Top off your look with a light pink handbag! I got this one on sale a few seasons ago. Due to its timeless color it has lasted me several seasons! I also wear it when I’m in all black to break up my outfit! I’m currently coveting this one , but will probably get this one ….should I pulll the trigger?!
Thanks so much for reading!
